Dear Industry Family,

What week of quarantine is this? Anyone else feeling like this is their new normal? Waking up to a million emails about homeschool, cooking three meals a day, prepping a ridiculous amount of snacks, attempting to get some actual work done, maybe getting a shower in (but probably not), and then getting a few glorious moments to watch Netflix at the end of the night when everyone is asleep before you pass out on the couch. This new reality feels scary, but creating new virtual content for the kids every week certainly helps make our days a bit brighter.

Spring Session Updates:


It is with a heavy heart that we are cancelling our Spring session that was scheduled to begin on May 4th. 


Due to the extension of New York Pause and the trajectory of the reopening process, we don’t anticipate, nor are we comfortable, reopening in May. Insert a brief pause for inconsolable crying.

Done crying? Awesome! Here’s the process for cancellations:


First, over the next few days all Spring registrations will be cancelled in Active and a credit for the amount paid when you registered will be put on your account.


Second, send us an email and let us know how you would like to use your credit. We have a few options available:

  1. Apply the credit to Summer Camp or Fall 2020 registrations. We’re finalizing the schedule for Fall and should be ready to start accepting registrations soon. 

  2. Leave the credit on your account. The credit will not expire and can be used for any goods or services at Industry Gymnastics in the future.

  3. Request a refund. All refunds will be processed in the next 10 business days. They may be available quicker, but because of the number of organizations that are having to issue refunds through our operating system, Active, refunds are taking a little longer than normal for them to process.


If we don’t hear back from you, no worries! We’ll leave the credit on file and you can contact us when you’re ready to decide how you would like to use those funds. 



Now for some Q&A’s:


What does this mean for the Paw-some Loyalty Program? If you decide to use your credit for a Fall registration, we’ll honor the priority registration period and the 15% discount. Once the Fall schedule is complete, you’ll receive an email notification with instructions on how to register.


How’s Summer Camp looking? Do you think you’ll be open? If you pray, say a prayer. Light some sage if you’re into that. Cross your fingers and toes. If we have to stare at the inside of our apartments much longer, we’re not going to make it. In all seriousness though, at this point we don’t believe that summer camp will be cancelled. Our Summer Camp permit is issued by the Department of Health and we have been working closely with them to prepare for summer camp. At this point they are still processing our yearly application as normal. If that changes, we will let you know immediately.


Are there precautions in place for when you reopen for Summer and Fall? Aside from our full Hazmat suit leotard line that’s launching Fall 2020? Yes, there will be a handful of new procedures to ensure social distancing to maximize your child’s safety while at the gym. To begin, we’ve drastically reduced our schedule to limit the number of classes in the gym at the same time. Because of this, we do highly recommend registering for Fall now as there are going to be limited spots this year. 


What about the 4 classes we missed from the Winter session? Those aren’t going anywhere! You’ll all receive 4 makeups for those missed classes which can be used during the Summer, Fall and may even be extended into the Winter session, if needed.


What about the coaches/staff? Does this mean they will be laid off? Absolutely not! The staff is still hard at work and are busy planning schedules and activities, making online content, doing extra online training, and a ton of behind the scenes leg work to keep Industry Gymnastics running smoothly. We are going to keep our coaches employed and making a living wage as long as we can. 


Will you still be offering the free online classes? Oh yea! Until the gym is able to reopen, we’ll continue offering free online classes. They’ll stream every M/W/F on FacebookYoutube, and Twitter. Check our social media pages for the full schedule.

How can I support the gym during this time? Excuse us as we go cry again. We appreciate all the support so far and are overwhelmed by how amazing you’ve all been! If you would like to help support the gym even more, here are a few things you can do:

  • Share our livestream class schedule with your friends and family. They don't have to be a registered family to take these classes.

  • Write a positive review on Facebook or Google

  • Buy a Gift Certificate

  • Make a donation

  • Email your favorite coach and book a virtual private lesson with them. All funds are Venmo’d or Paypal’d directly to them.

  • Purchase some Industry Gymnastics swag
