TIGERS 5-6 YRS

Bigger movement, beginner skills, and lots of encouragement

This 60-minute class is made for kids who are ready to move more, try new things, and start building gymnastics fundamentals. With a mix of structure and play, gymnasts explore Bars, Beam, Floor, and Vault while learning to follow directions, stay with the group, and develop their strength and coordination.

Through coach-led stations and hands-on support, your child will grow in:

  • Full-body strength, balance, and motor skills

  • Focus, listening, and the ability to follow multi-step directions

  • Confidence doing things on their own and trying new challenges

Tigers classes are open to all genders and led by USAG-certified coaches in a welcoming, all-bodies-friendly space. Whether it’s their very first class or they’re back for more, this is a great place to build skills—and have a lot of fun doing it.

Beginner = fewer than 3 full Tigers sessions.

What To Expect:

Dynamic Warm-Up & Stretch

We kick off each class with a full-body warm-up and age-appropriate stretches to get muscles ready and minds focused. Expect movement games, dynamic drills, and skill-prep exercises designed to activate the body and promote safe training habits.

Skill Stations:

Bars, Beam, and Trampoline/Floor

After warm-up, gymnasts rotate through three event-based stations: Bars, Beam, and Trampoline/Floor. Each station is structured around the skill focus of the week — whether that’s cartwheels, levers, pullovers, or handstands — and includes progressive drills to help every athlete succeed at their level. Coaches provide individualized feedback while encouraging independence, effort, and persistence through each rotation.

Wrap-Up & Reflection

At the end of class, gymnasts regroup for stickers and a short check-in with their coach, reflecting on what they worked on and celebrating their effort. These moments build coach-athlete connection and reinforce personal growth.
